SPECIAL INTEREST TOURS If you are bringing a group to the Island that has a special reason for visiting us, we can arrange a touring experience that fits exactly the wishes and expectations of the members of your group. We have organised a number of such Special Interest Tours. Here are some examples. SCHOOL GROUPS Because we are able to provide accommodation as well as transport, more and more schools are asking us to organise special school excursions, where the students stay in our Island Court units and discover the beauty of Kangaroo Island using one or more of our buses - with Don as their tour guide. We are able to provide connecting services for school groups based in Adelaide and surrounding districts, including the Murray Lands and Fleurieu Peninsula regions, to join up with our services operating from Penneshaw. We can provide complete packages, including mainland bus services, ferry services, accommodation and tours on Kangaroo Island. We really enjoy working with children and will tailor the studens' excursion experience perfectly to your requirements.

PHOTOGRAPHERS Kangaroo Island is a mecca for wildlife still and movie photographers. We regularly take individual or small groups of photographers to the most photogenic places on the island and we have also provided logistical support for professional photo-shoots by domestic and international agencies looking for new and dramatic locations. FAMILY GROUPS Showing our island to family groups and telling them all about it is probably our favourite tour experience. We sit down with the family and work out a unique itinerary, usually including sights and places others might pass over. The Lim family from Singapore is one of many family groups we have arranged tours for. After they got back home they wrote to say "Just wish to express once again that you have been an excellent guide and all of us indeed left the island 3 days later with very fond memories." APIARISTS Kangaroo Island's Ligurian Bee is famous as the purest strain of bee in the world. We organised a full-day professional tour for a group of 20 bee-keepers and honey-producers who wanted to look at the range of production facilities on the Island associated with the Ligurian Bee. The tour included an inspection of a large natural bee hive which is not normally open to the public. GEO-MORPHOLOGISTS Kangaroo Island is renowned for the diversity of its geological features, from laterite to limestone, basalt to beachsand, stalactites to gypsum, quartz, granite and much much more. We have organised several trips for groups of geo-morphologists to observe first-hand the variety and complexity of these natural phenomena. PRIMARY PRODUCERS Agriculture is KI's largest and most diversified industry, and as such is of considerable interest to primary producers wishing to observe and compare techniques and styles of grain poduction, fencing, watering and livestock management, food crop production, viticulture, aquaculture, and so on. We have arranged several tours for people involved in this both to and from the Island.
