Kingscote, Kangaroo Island Kingscote is the intelligent choice from which to explore all the wonders Kangaroo Island has to offer. It is central to all the Island's well known attractions and also has the convenience of hosting the Island's largest shopping district. Our accommodation is nicely nestled close to the Town's centre. The Island is much bigger than most people think. It takes the best part of three hours to drive from Cape Willoughby in the East, to Cape Borda in the West. To drive to Seal Bay on the South Coast from Kingscote in the North will take you approximately 45 minutes, while the entrance to Flinders Chase National Park is just around 60 minutes away via the Playford Highway. Just a quick walk down from our Holiday Units and Cottages will find you in the heart of Kingscote's Shopping Centre, which is a stone's throw away from the seaside and our lovely tidal swimming pool (a walled-in part of the beach), or at Lion's Park with its enclosed playground and barbecue area. Just beyond that is a little Jetty area where every day at 5 pm, there is a "Pelican Feeding" show - a marvellous entertainment, and educational too! And in the evening, Penguin Tours are run nightly.
